The reception to this title may have been divisive, but Dragon Age 2 is a great game in its own right that can become even more enjoyable with the use of mods. The best ones of the lot are mentioned below.

Dragon Age: Origins shipped with a toolset that let players create unique character morphs in a special tool and replace the original mods with their creations if they wished for it. However, Dragon Age 2 didn't ship out with the same creator, which is a shame.

As well as multiple pieces of downloadable content, Origins also received an expansion pack called Awakening. Though Bioware has long since stopped supplying updates and new content to the game, the online community has taken up the task by creating weird and wonderful mods for fans to enjoy.

BioWare's RPG is stellar without any modifications, but there are things about the game that can be improved. Dragon Age: Origins' modding scene is vast and feels neverending. There is something to satisfy everyone's tastes, whether they are searching for technical tweaks or brand new story content. There is never a bad time for a new DA:O playthrough, especially if these upcoming mods are installed.

It increases and sharpens the textures present in the entire game. As a result, the game becomes a lot easier to bear on the eyes. It's easy to see why most people consider this download to be one of Dragon Age: Origins' best mods.

The White Teeth Mod doesn't magically give the characters toothbrushes, but it does give them some sparkling white teeth, ensuring players aren't distracted during cutscenes by unsightly teeth. This download is compatible with all other mods, so there's no concern when it comes to any possible conflicts.

The romance aspect of the Dragon Age games is a fan-favorite element and allows the player to build relationships with their companions, and it leads to a romantic union if successfully done. However, which gender the player chooses for the Warden will affect which companions they can romance as each one has their own gender preferences.

If you ever played Dragon Age 2 and thought to yourself "I really wish I could romance Bethany" then this is the mod for you. This converts Merill into Bethany, and gives you options for what "Bethany" looks like (for example, female hawk). So technically, it's not incest.

No, Bishop will not fall to his knees, tears of remorse in his eyes and exclaim: "My precious jewel! Basking in the angelic light of your perfection has made me a changed man." His character has to merge with what Obsidian has in the end of the game, so Bishop remains Bishop and romances in his unique way. I was planing on a different alignment variation tracks for the MotB but gave up on it when I gave up on the MotB 'in party' romance for him. It's an evil romance of the pack.

I think a Sand romance would be awesome! I was so disappointed when I found out you couldn't romance him (and at the time, Bishop too...especially since Bishop was my #1 fav ) and I use to be all about Casavir...till he started to bore the Nine Hells outta me

Yes, if you install the NWN2 OC Romance Pack, it will conflict with other mods. Sorry, but blame the engine. BG2 has WeiDU, so you can install whatever the heck you want, but with NWN2, you have to put mods in the override, so that means only one romance mod at a time. Sorry.

Does this mean that,if (or when,hopefully) there will a Sand romance mod,we will have to give up on the romance pack?I'm prolly getting senile and confused,so bear with me if it was a stupid question

There are mods that update the textures of the game for new and better technology. There are mods that add quests, quest areas, etc. so that a single game can have a longer playthrough and be enjoyable for years to come.

For Cassandra and Cullen (and I have not romanced Cassandra so I may be wrong) there is no plot or storyline that hinges on being straight. Thus, when you make them bisexual, you are adding something to them.

In the first game of the series, Dragon Age: Origins, there are four companion characters that can be romanced. The two heterosexual options are Morrigan (can be romanced by a male player-character) and Alistair (can be romanced by a female player-character). The bisexual NPCs that can be romanced by male and female player-characters are Zevran and Leliana. You can see all romance options in the following video:

In the second game of the series, Dragon Age II, regardless of the gender of the player-character Hawke, the player can romance four out of five possible companion characters: Isabela, Merrill, Anders, and Fenris. Sebastian, a character only available via DLC, can only be romanced by a female Hawke. You can see a video of all romance options below.

In total, there are six NPC romance options for a female elven player-character, five for a female human, and four for all other gender/race combinations. There are also some additional sexual or flirtatious encounters available throughout the game, and as in previous games in the series players can hire sex workers of any gender in the brothels.

As it turns out, dialogue exists in the Mass Effect Legendary Edition game files pertaining to same-sex romances for both Jack and Jacob, as well as Kaidan, Ashley, Miranda, Thane, and Tali - and it looks like modders are going to use it to restore these romances in full.

All in all, this means the Mass Effect modding community is now fully able to take those official, unused game files and build full-fledged same-sex romances for Kaidan, Ashley, Jacob, Jack, Miranda, Thane, and Tali out of them. In all of these instances, at least the first romance scene will use audio that was actually recorded by Mark Meer or Jennifer Hale during development. Where necessary - for Thane and Tali, for example - modders will handle the rest of the work using the new audio functionality, but for the most part, these romances are based on legitimate assets that can still be found in the game files in Legendary Edition.

Isabela is the captain of the pirate ship Siren's Call. She can teach the Duelist specialization to The Warden in Dragon Age: Origins, and is an optional companion as well a romance option for either male or female Hawke in Dragon Age II. 2ff7e9595c
